Marisa & Alex - Dumbo, New York

Alex & Marisa had their wedding out in San Diego by me, so to be able to head over to their side of the country just a few weeks before the wedding to hangout and explore their city was a TREAT. They showed me around their favorite spots, we caught the BEST sunset, and I don’t think any of us stopped laughing the entire time. Thanks for showing me around Brooklyn, Alex & Marisa!

Kelsey & Fritz - Wente Vineyards

If you’re looking for two people madly in love then look no further! You can just see and feel Fritz and Kelsey’s contagious love not only for one another but for all their guests. Nestled within the Bay Area hills, Wente Vineyards created an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for the couple to say I do.

When it comes to details, Kelsey definitely has an eye. From the perfect veil that’s just the right length,a stunning and rich color pallet, a drop dead gorgeous wedding dress, and lush florals that would make anyone want to get married all over again, her choice of details made an already stunning venue look that much better.

After the sun went down and we wrapped up newlywed photos, we headed back to the reception to find a romantic, star lit setting complete with a gorgeous lounge area for guests! Crystal chandeliers suspended from row after row of market lights took over for the sun as they lit up the rest of the evening to dance the night away.

Derek & Makenna - Maravilla Gardens

Looking back on a perfect day at Maravilla Gardens in Ventura County! Derek and Makenna had it all: gorgeous pastel colors, a perfect garden wedding venue, sweet, personalized decor touches, and the hashtag of wedding hashtags… #ThisIsTsaoWeDoIt! These two definitely did the thing—with grace, style, and eyes locked on each other the entire time.

Starting with the first look, it was obvious how in love Derek and Makenna are. They moved through the ceremony with excitement, as ready as a couple can be for the journey that lay ahead of them. The quiet confidence I felt between them made even more sense once I saw their long photo history and slide show on display at the ceremony. I just love when couples choose to celebrate the details of their story with their friends and family. What a beautiful glimpse inside the journey that led them to their special day!

Putting this post together, I felt the love and celebration all over again. Cheers to the Tsaos! Here’s to showing the world how it’s done ‘til you’re old and wrinkly—and still in love.

Alexis & Areski - Foresthill Wedding

This love story started overseas in the city of love. How romantic is that?

Alexis was studying abroad in France when they crossed paths and fell in love. To add to that, they come from two different cultural backgrounds (with two different languages!), but they still managed to find each other. It’s so obvious these two were meant to be and would have found each other no matter the distance—just look at the pictures!

They celebrated their love with a beautiful, mountain wedding at Mountain Shadows Retreat. The venue was stunning all on its own, with pine trees looming overhead and the valley serving as the ceremony backdrop. There were amazing DIY and vintage touches throughout the ceremony and reception, but what stood out the most was the genuine love and joy filling the mountain air. It was such a warm celebration and I left with a giant smile on my face, happy to help capture the sweet moments of the night.

Take a look inside their special day and join me in congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Matoub!

Kendall & JJ - Paradise Falls Wedding

Kendall and JJ make such a beautiful, fun-loving couple, and I had a blast shooting their big day! Paradise Falls made for the perfect backdrop to their timeless, elegant wedding style. Their amazing florals by Little Hill complemented the romantic gardens so well, and the place was absolutely dripping. So beautiful!

I have obviously attended a ton of weddings so I’m all about the details, and this day was not lacking them. Kendall and JJ had special gifts for their guests to take home, a cigar bar, polaroid cameras complete with a cute display board, and even more. Their guests earned it too! From the moment the music started, the dance floor was full of friends and family of all ages, holding absolutely nothing back. To top it all off, they had an epic homemade donut station plus chicken and waffles toward the end of the night, and the party kept going. The newlyweds closed out the night with a bubble exit and then rode off into the night on the back of a classy ride.

Congratulations, Kendall and JJ! Thank you for having me be part of your stunning celebration. Wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness, and yummy, late night snacks!

Alec & Krista - Outdoor Castle Wedding

Alec and Krista were king and queen for a day at Mt. Woodson. Mt. Woodson hosts Amy Strong Castle, a historical castle that doubles as a wedding venue. Located about 30 minutes outside of San Diego in Ramona, CA, the venue perfectly balances the surrounding nature with the majestic castle structure.

Alec and Krista were both such sweet, kind people—truly a match made in heaven. The day was filled with so much love and emotion, including teary first dances and heartfelt speeches. The couple had a great group of friends in their bridal party encouraging them through it all, and making sure they let loose a little too (photos to prove it).

I love when a wedding party cuts up the dance floor before sending off the bride and groom, and that’s just what this amazing crew did. What’s a castle without an EPIC castle dance party to close out the night anyway?

Congrats, Alec and Krista! Thank you for letting me be your wedding photographer!

Sydney & Daniel - D Street Beach

I love being an engagement and wedding photographer because I love love! But, every once in awhile I like to break from my busy schedule to do lifestyle shoots in some of my favorite places. For this particular shoot, I brought along Sydney and her boyfriend, Daniel, to the beautiful D Street Beach in Encinitas.

Sydney became my intern a few years back and quickly became my go-to second shooter. She is such an amazing photographer who has grown her own wedding photography business tremendously, but she’s an even better friend. Plus, as you can see, her and Daniel are adorable together. I’m so glad they like going on adventures with me to get magical shots like these. I put these two in front of my camera every chance I get and today felt like the perfect day to share their love with you.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Sheerin & Craig - The Casino

Sheerin and Craig’s multicultural wedding ceremony and reception may be one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever shot. It was amazing to see two people from vastly different cultures come together as one family. The beautiful couple managed to incorporate and honor their cultures’ traditions throughout the day—with everything from a bagpipe player to a familial canopy. And, with the help of the always wonderful K. Sage Events, not a single detail was missed.

The ceremony was stunning, but the reception truly stole the show. Starting right at golden hour, the beautiful space at the Casino San Clemente was complemented by vintage and travel-inspired decor, stunning florals, and an amazing indoor-outdoor space for guests to wander. There were cultural dances and music, plus several tear-inducing speeches made to honor the bride and groom.

One last thing I have to note… Sheerin and Craig were the sweetest couple ever. I shot their courthouse wedding prior to their big celebration with family and friends and I felt so honored to capture their marriage wedding as well. Congrats, you two! Wishing you a beautiful life and many more celebrations to come, together.

Ashley & Kyle - Flora Farms Wedding

Anytime my job takes me to Cabo, I am one happy girl! Ashley and Kyle tied the knot at Flora Farms and this place quickly climbed my list of favorite wedding venues I've ever shot at. If you’re considering getting married in Cabo, Flora Farms is the perfect place for an outdoor reception with string lights under the stars. The couple put their own special touches on their wedding venue too, of course—classic green, white, and pink florals, amazing brass decor, handmade macrame runners, and more. It was a dream!

I was lucky enough to be the wedding photographer for both the wedding and the rehearsal dinner and, let me tell you, this group was SO MUCH FUN. As soon as the music started playing, Ashley, Kyle, and their guests did not stop dancing all night long. I love seeing a bride and groom let loose and bust moves alongside their guests. As always, the amazing night had to come to an end. The newlyweds closed out the wedding reception with sparklers and a goodbye tunnel, sending them off to the after party at Cabo Azul Resort.

Enjoy these wedding photos from Ashley and Kyle’s special day and join me in wishing them a beautiful life together!

Lizzy & Mike - Newport Beach Wedding

Lizzy & Mike's wedding was perfect. It was a perfectly curated tropical, laid back, beachy wedding. It was super fun because it took place on the water at the harbor, but not actually at the beach.  We then headed over to their favorite Mexican restaurant which they had rented out for their reception. Seriously... BEST. TACOS. EVER. I love these types of weddings with all of my heart. Laid back people, fun and relaxed vibes, tons of dancing and amazing tropical decor with the prettiest colors! Couldn't have asked for a better couple to spend the day with. Congratulations again, Lizzy & Mike!

Kaylyn + John - Palm Springs Engagement Session

If I could just adventure around Palm Springs for every single engagement session I seriously would. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the cool and exciting places my photography travels take me, but Palm Springs really is one of my favorite places in the world to be and definitely to shoot at. The colors, the heat. the buildings, the good vibes, it's like summer year round. These two brought their A game for their shoot, with their fun outfits and their amazing attitudes willing to do or try anything for so many fun photos. As you can tell, we really were all around town and it was just a blast. Can't wait for their wedding this fall, I know it will be nothing short of perfect!

Marisa + Michael - Crestmore Manor

Marisa & Mike's Riverside wedding was SO much fun. This group was just my style...laid back, fun, and ready to party with all of their family & friends! I loved the laid back vibe of the wedding while it also had the prettiest details which made for awesome photos! Thanks for having me join in on all of the fun Marisa & Mike! Congratulations again!!

Paulina & Sol - Wedding at Vibiana

WHERE TO BEGIN WITH THESE TWO AND THEIR GLAMOROUS BEYOND WORDS WEDDING! First of all, I truly feel like I was just meant to cross paths with Paulina & Sol all along and I was meant to shoot their wedding because we just had the BEST time together from the engagement session all the way until.. well... right now, since we still talk all the time! I met Paulina when she was a bridesmaid in one of my other bride's weddings the year before and we clicked instantly! What I appreciated most about working with her was that she cared SO much about making time for photos on her wedding day, and making every last detail of her wedding perfect for photos (even though look at them, they could've been wearing trash bags and looked amazing.) I call them the most glamorous couple i've ever shot and I think you'll see why. Love you guys so so much and loved reliving this perfect day making this blog!!

Gabby + Dylan - Franciscan Gardens

Where to begin... I have been waiting alllll year to blog this wedding. Finally after my busiest wedding season yet, and not having an office assistant, i'm finally getting to blogging all of my amazing 2017 weddings. This one was one of my all time favorites due to not only the sweetest model couple ever, but the INCREDIBLE details that made the entire event magazine worthy from start to finish. Kelsey at K.Sage Events outdid herself on this one, as always. She really brings weddings to another level and her attention to detail is on point. The florals from this wedding by Foxtail Florals seriously... I haven't even been able to get them out of my head since this wedding, and as a recently engaged lady myself, i've found myself drawing a ton of inspiration from this wedding for my own. Especially the vibrant colors and modern tropical theme. Every vendor chosen for this wedding worked together like a dream to create this beautiful wedding. On top of that, I think the photos will show what truly FUN event it was to be able to capture. Thank you thank you thank you Gabby & Dylan, for having me capture such a magical day! Love you guys!

Alisa + Stephen - The Loft on Pine

Alisa & Stephen (the world's cutest/hippest/funnest/sweetest couple) asked me to photograph their wedding last year, and I was SO excited. I knew right away that their wedding would be not only gorgeous and super trendy like themselves, but also timeliness because they are both a class act! Not to mention they are so much fun to be around and instantly felt like lifelong friends. I've been so excited to share more from their heartfelt, fun, and beautiful wedding at the amazing Loft on Pine in Long beach.

Tom + Christina - The MacArthur Wedding

Tom & Christina had one of the most beautiful and elegant weddings i've ever seen. It felt like I was asked to cover the Oscars with their giant guest count, amazing ballroom reception and overflowing florals on each and every centerpiece. Not only was it an elegant and classy event, it was something unique for me because the day started out at their cozy home with only family and close friends for their traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. (My favorite part!) I love capturing different cultures and learning about how different people celebrate marriage. It was beautiful, loving, fun and their family was so generous with me aka they gave me plates full of AMAZING vietnamese food which I really have not stopped thinking about since. Thank you again Christina & Tom for having me capture your beautiful day!

Savannah + Cole

HIIIII I'M BACK! I know it's a miracle i'm blogging. Currently importing one wedding & exporting another so I figured it would be a good time to get some blogging done! ALSO figured it would be a great time to blog these two beautiful humans since their wedding is NEXT WEEK! I'm so excited for them and their life together and super grateful to have been able to capture so much of their love story.

Megan + Alex - Bernardo Winery Wedding

I'll never forget Alex & Megan's anniversary, that's for sure. That's because their wedding was on my birthday! What a perfect wedding it was to shoot on my birthday. Everyone was so sweet and I had the best time celebrating with Megan & Alex. I was crying like a baby through their ceremony and even teared up again blogging these photos! They truly are the sweetest couple and i'm so honored they chose me to capture all of the emotion and love from this day!

Heather + Taylor - Torrey Pines

I guess I should start by acknowledging the fact that at this point all of my blog posts are beginning with apologies for never blogging. I think i've accepted that i'm not immediately blogging everything, but it's kind of nice to take little looks back on these fun and beautiful shoots & weddings when I finally get to blogging them. When we did their bridals at Torrey Pines, they were full of love and excitement. They made it so easy for me to capture it all! We ended their session with them telling me they were trying for a second baby, and now they are anxiously awaiting for baby #2! I could not be more happy for you two & the beautiful addition to your family! How fun to look back on these photos before they were a family of 4.

Morgan + Kevin - Santiago Oaks

Morgan & Kevin had a beautiful morning wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Santiago Oaks Regional Park. The day was complete with gorgeous weather, great music, custom made coffee & pizza stations, fun polka dotted bridesmaids dresses & groomsmen bow ties, and the absolute sweetest bride & groom. I can't thank you enough for choosing me to photograph the best day of your life, Morgan & Kevin! Congratulations again!
